What is MDPHP

  MDPHP (3′,4′-Methylenedioxy-α-pyrrolidinohexiophenone), also known more commonly under the street name of monkey dust, particularly in the UK, is a strong synthetic cathinone stimulant and NPS or designer drug. It is a derivative of the α-pyrrolidinophenone group ofsubstituted cathinones, which also includes the more popular and well-known stimulant MDPV, used particularly under the street name of bath salts.
it was originally developed in the 1960s but was readopted more recently, particularly in the 2010s, as a recreational or research chemical, which has appeared particularly in Europe, particularly Italy and the UK, through seizures and poisonings.

Pharmacology
MDPHP is a norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor with a strong affinity for both the DAT and NET transporters but a much weaker affinity for SERT. This results in a strong CNS stimulant effect similar to cocaine or methamphetamine but with a higher potential for agitation, paranoia, and psychosis than either of those two stimulants.
Appearance
Usually a fine white, off-white, or yellowish powder or crystals. Often sold as a “research chemical” or under no label at all.

Desired/positive: Intense feelings of euphoria, extreme energy and alertness, hyper-focus, motivation, talkativeness, confidence, and enhancement in the appreciation of music.
Common negative: Severe anxiety/paranoia, panic attacks, hallucinations (auditory and tactile), confusion, agitation, aggressiveness, tachycardia (rapid heart rate), hypertension, sweating, hyperthermia (overheating), headache, and chest pain.
High-dose/severe: Delirium, psychosis-like states (involving persecutory delusions), violence/aggressiveness, depersonalization, rhabdomyolysis (breakdown of muscles), seizures.
